Well, it was the George Strait Concert last Friday night, and I am now just recuperating from it.

It was a great concert but it was the first time I had been in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and our seats were on the third row of the very top. I swear I saw a bird fly by at eye level. It was so bad that Ed didn’t want to go downstairs for a cigarette break because he would have had to go down to the first level, and he didn’t want to climb back up those stairs. Those stairs were the steepest I ever had to climb. Still, we had a great view. There were huge screens, and I had binoculars so strong I could almost see the writing on the Wranglers label on the back of King George’s jeans.

The first act was Jo Dee Messina. Her country stuff was great, but when she delved into pop and rock I lost interest. She should stick to C&W but probably will when she gets a bigger repertoire of songs.

Then came GEORGE STRAIT. When a singer! He sang for about two hours, and it was all good. I just wish Alan Jackson could have been there to sign a few duets with him. Now, that would be right fine!!!

I think it would be fun to watch a ice hockey match from the seats we had – it would be like a bunch of ants swarming around.

I got sick the next day. I must have caught some bug – the Strait bug.

Tonight is the CMA awards. 99.5 the Wolf radio station here in Dallas is going get the station of the year award. They do deserve it.

I am now working on getting the archives button to work on the blog and can’t seem to get it right. Eventually, I will.

For the last 20 days, it has rained 15 here in Dallas. Very wet and damp. I need some sunshine.
