I sent the following letter to Dallas Morning News after a student said there was NO God in battle:

God is indeed there

Re: Monday's student letter, "God isn't there."

Letter-writer Lindsay Detrick stated: "However, I do not feel that it is necessary for these chaplains to remind the soldiers that 'God is in the midst' of war, because it is apparent that he is not." Please look at the 23rd Psalm.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over."

God is with the soldiers in more ways than you think.
